Client :     Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Duration : From November 2018 to November 2021
Description of Project :
Trafficking in persons has become a serious issue in Vietnam, due to the widening of the economic gap between urban and rural areas since the introduction of market economy and the following economic development, and to increased domestic and international movements of people.
This project aims to create a “national social safety net” to protect lives and security of citizens from the threats and violence by trafficking in persons through supporting the operation of three ” Anti- Trafficking in persons Hotline Regional Call Centers”, covering all 63 Vietnamese provinces and cities, with the Ministry of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) as a counterpart (implementing institution) in charge of prevention of trafficking in persons and assistance of victims in Vietnam.
