Client:Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Duration:From December 2015 to March 2019
Description of Project:
Pakistan’s industrial sector (including manufacturing and construction) is still in a state of delay for advanced industrial structure.
The Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI), which was developed by the Japanese Grant Aid, accepts students from all over the country and has the only curriculum in the country for maintenance and repair of heavy machinery such as construction machines, other than automobile maintenance. As a vocational training institution, CTTI has the problems that the curriculum does not fully reflect the content of the latest technical training and the employment support for current students is weak.
Based on requests and needs from the Pakistan industry, the project will support the updating of the CTII curriculum, which has not been updated since 1986, the training of teachers, and the strengthening of employment support systems. In this way, the project will foster high-quality human resources development by CTTI to contribute to supply these human resources in the Pakistan industry.
