Client       Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) / Government of Pakistan

Duration  From December 2004 to March 2010

Description of Project

The National Highway N-25 is the sole trunk road connecting northern area to southern area in the province of Baluchistan. It also serves as an international road connecting the inland countries of the region such as Afghanistan directly to the Karachi port with the shortest distance. Despite its important position in national and inter-state transportation network, N-25 contains narrow lanes, blind curves and steep slopes that result in frequent traffic accidents. In response to the request from the Government of Pakistan to solve this problem, JICA conducted the basic design study to improve road and traffic conditions. Consequently after that, the National Highway Authority appointed Ingérosec as leading consultant to perform the detailed design and construction supervision.
